A Gin 400 Years in the Making
In 1624, Dutch ships first anchored off the coast of the island known as Formosa - today's Taiwan. They brought with them a vision of adventure and a thirst for discovery and trade. Now, 400 years later, that spirit of exploration is captured in Formosa 1624, a gin as rich in heritage as it is in flavour.
Formosa 1624 blends exotic spices once traded by the Dutch East India Company (VOC) with fruits and botanicals found in the lush landscapes of Taiwan. Juniper, cardamom, clove, nutmeg and peppercorn intertwine with delicate hints of local citrus, pineapple, native herbs, the distinct floral notes of Taiwan's finest oolong tea, kelp, and a pinch of sea salt from the place where it all began. The result is a gin with depth - bold yet refined, complex yet harmonious.
Formosa 1624 pays tribute to Dutch courage, to the beauty of Taiwan with its rich and vibrant culture, and to the enduring legacy of trade and exploration that shaped the world as we know it.
